* Equis Industries, headquartered in Brisbane, is a manufacturing company with expertise in safeguarding equipment, machinery, and plants against impact, abrasion, and wear. We are seeking a Cost/ Management Accountant to join our team to improve product profitability and cost efficiency. The successful candidate will have 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, compliance, cost management, supply chain, budgeting, pricing, and forecasting advice to assist in decision-making. Help us to deliver efficiency over the manufacturing process and quality improvement initiatives. Experience with modern accounting and MRP systems is highly desirable.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND TASKS
* Prepares financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports to make recommendations to directors.
* Enhances accounting controls by formulating and suggesting policies and procedures to streamline processes.
* Develop KPIs and management reporting dashboards to support cost improvement initiatives to improve profitability.
* Prepare and analyse cost estimates for new products and services.
* Monitor, analyze, and provide advice on optimum inventory levels and costs.
* Monitor, analyse and provide advice on optimizing labour costs and productivity.
* Guides accounting clerical staff on reconciling financial discrepancies, by collecting and analyzing account information.
* Secures and maintains financial information by maintaining accurate monthly forecasting and reporting, invoice processing, and actual project billing dates.
* Initiate continuous process improvement and identify best practices for both accounts and operations.
* Assist the Team Managing Director in the yearly ISO audits.
* Spearhead the knowledge training of the accounting processes across the team.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
* 2 + Years of work experience
* We highly value candidates who bring advanced knowledge and a wealth of practical experience in the utilisation of ERP or MRPeasy systems.
* Proficiency gained through direct hands-on experience with a range of accounting software solutions, including but not limited to Saasu, Xero, MYOB, and related software applications.
* Experience with general ledger functions
* Exhibiting a high degree of English proficiency, encompassing robust verbal and written communication skills, crucial for fostering effective communication within the organization.
* Exhibiting outstanding analytical and research acumen, complemented by adept problem-solving abilities, and a proactive inclination to question established norms.
* Highly organized and self-driven to learn new concepts and participate in new projects aside from the accounting process.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $85,000.00 – $92,500.00 per year
