We are seeking experienced and reliable forklift operators to load and unload our linehaul vehicles on both the AM and the PM shift.
* AM Shift: 5:00am - 1:06pm
* PM Shift - 12:00pm - Close (between 8:30pm - 10:00pm)
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
* LF Forklift License
* Strong safety awareness and adherence to OHS regulations.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in Linehaul Loading Operations
* Successfully demonstrate understanding of Mass Management
* Successfully demonstrate understanding of Load Restraint Guidelines
* Enthusiastic and energetic team player
Job tasks and responsibilities
* Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and in accordance with policies and procedures.
* Ensure all inbound and/or outbound freight is:
* Accurately scanned, matched, sorted, and placed safely into correct locations.
* Load outbound linehaul units (consolidation of freight)
* Unloaded and/or loaded safely with zero damage within set time limits.
* Compliant with legislative requirements with regard to load mass.
* Compliant with Chain of Responsibility including appropriate load restraint.
* Match freight and connotes to ensure no miss-sorted or miss-loaded freight.
* Report all incidents of damage, shortages, split consignments, etc. to the supervisor in a timely manner.
* Ensure the yard is kept organised and tidy.
* Work toward a target of zero near-miss incidents or accidents.
* Contribute to shared goals and work effectively as part of a team.
