Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW, for a Foreman Carpenter. The Foreman Carpenter will oversee and coordinate residential renovation projects, ensuring quality standards, timelines, and budgets are met. Day-to-day tasks include managing on-site teams, overseeing the use of hand and power tools, reading and interpreting blueprints, supervising framing and structural building processes, and ensuring proper installation of finishes. Additionally, the role involves ensuring on-site compliance with safety protocols, liaising with clients, designers, and subcontractors, and maintaining clear communication to safeguard the design intent and project alignment.
Qualifications
* Strong carpentry skills, with expertise in framing and finish carpentry.
* Experience using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely.
* Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and architectural designs.
* Proven leadership and team management capabilities on construction sites.
* Thorough knowledge of construction safety protocols and compliance standards.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage schedules, teams, and client expectations.
* Experience with high-end residential projects or architect-designed builds is preferred.
