**Title: SAP Operations Manager
Location: Melbourne (preference is Melbourne)
Type: Contract to hire, or Permanent full time
Required Skills and Experience:**
* At least 10 or more years of experience in SAP operations and application support.
* At least 3 or more years in a leadership or managerial role within SAP environments.
* ITIL Foundation or Practitioner certification preferred.
* Experience managing hybrid support models (onshore/offshore).
* Strong understanding of compliance, audit, and governance in enterprise IT.
Essential Skills
* Expertise in SAP modules (FI/CO, reinsurance, FSCD) and architecture (ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori).
* Proficiency in SAP Basis operations, system monitoring, and performance tuning.
* Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, IDocs, RFCs, APIs, and middleware.
* Experience with other integrated systems like CATS etc.
Operational Excellence
* Oversee daily SAP operations across ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Fiori, and integrated platforms.
* Ensure system availability, performance, and compliance with SLAs.
* Drive automation and proactive monitoring to reduce incidents and improve efficiency.
Governance & Reporting
* Establish and maintain governance frameworks for SAP support aligned with ITIL standards.
* Define and track KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics; report regularly to senior leadership.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and data security policies.
* Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive actions for recurring issues.
Team Leadership
* Manage and mentor a cross-functional team of SAP support analysts and technical experts.
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Coordinate with offshore/onshore teams and external vendors for seamless support delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as the first point of contact for SAP operational issues.
* Collaborate with business units to align SAP support with strategic goals.
* Communicate system health, risks, and improvement plans to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance support efficiency and user satisfaction.
* Stay current with SAP innovations and recommend adoption strategies.
* Lead initiatives for system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
