Casual VET Trainer/Assessor and Resource Developer
We are seeking to join our team as a VET Trainer and Resource Developer for our Community Health Services programs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and lead students in learning activities to meet course competency requirements.
2. Provide support and feedback to students during the course.
3. Observe and assess student competency and performance according to course requirements.
4. Develop engaging and compliant learning and assessment resources.
Currently delivering training packages: CHC33021
Courses:
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability)
* Certificate IV in Ageing Support
* Short courses such as HLTHPS007: Administer and Monitor Medications
Selection Criteria:
* Essential:
o Qualification in a relevant field at or above the course you will teach (e.g., Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Ageing/Disability Support, Enrolled Nurse, or Registered Nurse).
o Completion of TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent.
o Course resource and assessment development experience.
o Minimum 5 years experience in Aged Care or Disability Support Worker role.
o Current Working with Children Check.
o Current industry skills and experience relevant to the training and assessment provided.
o Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
o Ability to engage, lead, mentor, and encourage students in classroom and clinical environments.
o Ability to validate assessment items and judgments.
o Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
o Ability to manage student matters in academic and non-academic issues.
* Desirable:
o Experience working with student management systems including aXcelerate.
o Understanding of Smart and Skilled (NSW Government subsidized training) contract requirements.
o Minimum 2 years current teaching or facilitation experience.
