Opal Fibre Packaging Australia provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified technician to join our team of machine systems technicians. This is a full-time permanent role predominantly servicing sites throughout the Innisfail region.
The main objective of the role is to maintain, repair, and retool plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, with a focus on upholding safety and maximizing production at our customer’s sites.

For this role we would ideally like you to have:
* Strong trade qualified skills (hydraulic, electrical, or pneumatic experience advantageous)
* Good fitting, fabrication, and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to effectively perform preventative maintenance tasks
* The ability to work autonomously, but also enjoy being a part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and communication skills (written and oral)
* Robust problem-solving skills
* Flexibility, initiative, and proactive
* The ability to participate in rotating call-outs and shifts during times of peak seasonal demand and as required
* An uncompromising attitude towards Health & Safety
* Limited or full electrical licenses desirable
* Fibre Packaging or production machinery knowledge advantageous
