Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Territory Sales Manager to join our team in Victoria. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional with a passion for the equine industry, particularly racing and breeding.
The successful candidate will be responsible for nurturing and growing our racing and breeding customer base in VIC, developing and executing plans to engage and convert new customers, and ensuring delivery of Commercial Equine volume targets for the region.
This role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously as part of a wider team. The ideal candidate will have experience in equine nutrition/feed sales, formal qualifications in business/sales/animal nutrition, and a deep understanding of the commercial equine industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Call coverage: Visit racing and breeding customers (new and prospects).
* Support customers on diet planning, pasture sampling, and other services to support horse performance.
* Ensure strong service to customers, including supporting stock deliveries.
* Develop and execute plans to engage and convert new racing and breeding customers in Victoria.
* Ensure delivery of Commercial Equine volume targets for the region.
* Use strategic relationships to the benefit of the Commercial Equine team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Formal qualifications in business/sales/animal nutrition.
* Solid experience in equine nutrition/feed sales.
* Understanding and experience of the commercial equine industry (breeding and training).
* In-depth understanding of the Regional Retail channel.
* Sales experience within the pet/animal feed categories.
* Proven experience in delivering sales results.
* Proven experience in being able to successfully win new customers.
* Previous experience managing and growing a territory.
