This position is associated with Haematology Department at Nepean hospital including the basic physicians training network and consists of medical subspecialty, relief and after hours terms. It is ideal for (but not limited to) candidates considering haematology training or basic physician training in the future. The purpose of the position is to provide effective medical services to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment in inpatients and outpatient areas in the public health organisation.
What you'll be doing
* Taking a leadership role in coordinating the admission, management and discharge planning of patients seen in or admitted to his / her Unit within the public health organisation, and ensuring that the admission and plans are documented in the medical record.
* Coordinating and documenting the admission, management and discharge planning of patients seen in or admitted to his/her Unit within the public health organisation.
* The day-to-day assessment and management of the patients in his/her Unit, communicating with them and their family the nature of their condition and its treatment.

1. Nepean Hospital is a 600-bed tertiary referral hospital located at Kingswood NSW.
2. The Haematology Unit has a large outpatient and Inpatient commitment.
