Job Title: National Logistics Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned logistics expert to lead our national logistics operations. As a National Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for shaping the logistics, transport and warehousing activities that support our operations across Australia.
Main Responsibilities
* Logistics Strategy Development:
You will develop practical logistics, transport and warehousing solutions to optimize network efficiency and reduce costs.
* Team Leadership:
Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and support to the logistics team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
* Contract Management:
Manage key logistics and warehousing contracts to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Procurement and Tendering:
Lead procurement and tendering of freight and warehouse services to secure best-value deals.
* Safety and Compliance:
Champion Chain of Responsibility and support safe behaviors within the logistics team.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Leadership Experience:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership role within logistics or a related field.
* Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of logistics, transport and warehousing principles and practices.
* Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
