Primary objective
The Systems Analyst provides technical and subject matter expertise for corporate business systems, delivering specialised business
analysis, incident and problem resolution, and environment management specific to the NTG Records Management system and the NT
FOI Case Management system, identifying required modifications or additional components to meet client agency needs. The role involves
records data migrations, managing system integrations, reporting, quality and integrity testing, release and deployment of system changes,
and liaising with system vendors.
Context statement
The Across Government Systems division is responsible for providing high-level strategic advice and operational management for the
business systems supporting key corporate services and various all of government systems. This position will be responsible for but not
limited to records management and freedom of information systems.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Analysis and interpretation of business requirements including identification, documentation, and validation of information regarding
corporate system development initiatives.
2. Undertake global system administration related management, server notifications analysis and monitoring, and system maintenance
activities relevant to enterprise corporate systems.
3. Liaise with technical service providers to ensure development and management of quality systems.
4. Involvement in coordinating and executing system validation testing and implementation associated with system development, system
integrations and records data migrations and assist in change proposals and other supporting technical governance documentation.
5. Develop and maintain effective collaborative service partnerships with a range of key stakeholders.
6. Actively participate as a full member of the team contributing to innovative and customer-focused solutions to all aspects of whole of
government business.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven sound knowledge of and experience in business process analysis, identification and investigation of problems, and technical
expertise relevant to corporate systems.
2. Proven stakeholder engagements, customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with people of
diverse cultures and communicate complex issues in non-technical terms.
3. Experience in project management and planning methodologies and frameworks, including the Software Development Life Cycle
(SDLC).
4. Proven ability to work autonomously, achieve deadlines in a fast-paced environment including the flexibility to work outside of
business hours when required.
5. Experience in coordinating change and release activities in a corporate systems context.
6. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude that emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, respectful and
innovative.
Desirable
1. Prior experience in global administration of Open Text Content Manager and Resolve Case Management systems.
2. Sound understanding of NT Government recordkeeping and Freedom of Information legislation, policies and procedures.
3. Relevant certifications or experience working in a DevOps environment such as DevOps, ITIL, SQL, Power Query, Power BI, web-
based reporting, or other related disciplines.
