This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full time basis at 38 hours a week.
The successful candidate must have:
- Excellent English skills
- The right to work in Australia
- Certificate IV in commercial cookery or relevant qualification related to the field
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in all aspects of food safety
- Positive communication skills, energy and attitude
Responsibilities include:
- Creating meal plans, calculating expenses for both food and labor, and procuring necessary food supplies.
- Supervising the quality of dishes during all phases of preparation and presentation.
- Engaging in conversations about food preparation matters with Managers, Dietitians, and both kitchen and serving personnel.
- Illustrating cooking techniques and offering guidance on cooking procedures.
- Getting food ready and cooking it.
- Clarifying and ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations.
- Possibly recruiting and instructing staff.
- Potentially freezing and preserving food items.
