About your new role:
As a Communications Officer, you’ll play a key role in bringing the Fairbrother story to life. You’ll plan, create and deliver high‑quality content across digital and print platforms; from social media, website updates and newsletters to events and marketing campaigns.

Working from our office, you’ll focus on brand consistency and storytelling, working closely with our Graphic Designer to connect our people, projects and purpose with internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management (40%)

* Develop and maintain monthly content calendars in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
* Create and source content (copy, images, video, reels and stories) in partnership with the Graphic Designer.
* Ensure all content aligns with Fairbrother’s tone of voice and brand guidelines.
* Schedule and publish content using social media management tools.
* Monitor and respond to comments, messages and brand mentions.
* Identify opportunities to improve engagement and grow social media presence.

Content Coordination (40%)

* Write, edit and proofread content for internal and external communications, including newsletters, reports, presentations, internal communications platform (Workvivo), website content and marketing materials.
* Coordinate content with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Ensure consistent application of brand voice and identity across all communications.

Design support and administration (20%)

* Assist the Graphic Designer in developing visual content.
* Maintain and organise print and digital asset libraries.
* Support documentation and content management process.

About you:
This position is ideal for a graduate or early‑career communications professional who’s keen to build real‑world experience, develop their skills, and be part of projects that can make an impact.

Essential:

* Demonstrated ability to write clear, engaging content for a variety of audiences (e.g. social media, newsletters, website content).
* Strong attention to detail, including proofreading and editing skills.
* Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Basic understanding of social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and content trends.
* Ability to follow brand guidelines and maintain a consistent tone of voice.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Desirable:

* Experience using Meta Business Suite.
* Basic skills in design tools, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva, would be highly advantageous.
* Experience contributing to content planning or content calendars.
* Tertiary qualification (or working towards) in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field.
* Interest in digital marketing and willingness to learn new tools and platforms.
