About The Job
At Google, we follow a simple but vital premise: "Focus on the user and all else will follow." Google’s Interaction Designers take complex tasks and make them intuitive and easy-to-use for billions of people worldwide. Throughout the design process—from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes—you’ll envision how people will experience our products and bring that vision to life in an inspired, refined, and even magical way.
Google User Experience (UX) comprises multidisciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. We care deeply about our users and collaborate closely to create industry-leading products that deliver value for users and Google’s business.
As an Interaction Designer, you’ll use user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution. You’ll collaborate with design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language, building beautiful, innovative products that users love.
In this role, you will manage, organize, and share photos and videos, solve problems collaboratively, drive product and UX strategy, prototype designs, and communicate data-driven decisions that prioritize user value.
Google Photos is a photo sharing and storage service developed by Google. It is highly sought after, and we are looking for client-side (web and mobile), server-side (search, storage, serving), and machine intelligence (learning, computer vision) software engineers dedicated to user-centered experiences.
Responsibilities
* Drive UX design for key sharing flows and establish partnerships with third-party apps.
* Translate user needs into compelling designs via user journeys, storyboards, mockups, interaction specifications, and prototypes.
* Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders across Google to understand requirements and provide solutions. Work with User Researchers to develop hypotheses and participate in user research, advocating for design-centered improvements.
* Simplify complex concepts into clear narratives, integrating user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product updates.
* Manage work in a fast-paced environment, delivering detailed design solutions under tight deadlines while balancing strategic thinking and attention to detail.
