Salary: Base $90,177 – $137,861 plus leave loading and superannuation. Up to $156,253 total remuneration.
Position Information
Bega Valley Public School is the only public primary school in the small rural town of Bega, with approximately 300 students, 12 mainstream classes and a support unit of four multi‐categorical classes. 20% of students have Aboriginal heritage, and the school supports a diverse socio‐economic and linguistic community.
We are seeking a 3‐day a week Teacher Librarian who will share release time from face‐to‐face teaching and manage the library's administration.
Responsibilities
* Deliver library services, including curation of resources and literacy support.
* Share release time from classroom teaching as required.
* Administer library operations and maintain student records.
Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach Library or currently undertaking/enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
* Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with proven ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with students, staff, parents/carers, and the wider community.
* Well‐developed skills in managing student behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing, with a proven capacity to support students from diverse backgrounds.
