What you'll do
In this role you will provide strategic advice and decision support to the Deputy Director-General on sensitive, confidential and time-critical matters to ensure business continuity. You will lead and manage the Office of the Deputy Director-General, fostering strong relationships with executives, senior officers and external stakeholders. You will oversee executive services, coordinate complex and high-priority initiatives through to resolution, and support divisional performance, governance and communication activities.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
Experience in providing sensitive, coordinated, confidential and complex support to Executive Management Leadership teams within large complex public sector organisations.
Experience in leading and managing support functions for a division with a de-centralised business model for operational
Strong analytical and negotiation skills including the ability to resolve conflict
Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal skills, as well as good team building and policy networking
Demonstrated experience working in complex organisations and within an operating environment characterised by the need to liaise with, engage and consult with a range of stakeholders in the achievement of outcomes.
Demonstrated experience working within a complex system or organisation with devolved accountabilities and responsibilities that require a detailed understanding of system leadership, risk management, and strategic direction-setting.
Demonstrated ability to operate as a collegial and collaborative member of a multi-disciplinary
