Main Responsibilities
* Develop and oversee bushfire mitigation strategies, including risk assessments and evaluations.
* Lead and mentor Fire Management Officers and staff members.
* In the absence of the Chief Fire Warden, assume responsibility for leading bushfire operations and provide support.
* Oversee Fire Warden appointments, training, and support initiatives.
* Manage the Permit to Light Fire system and collaborate with the Bushfire Mitigation Unit.
* Support data-driven decision-making in bushfire risk management and facilitate information sharing.
* Maintain regulatory tools, including fire bans, and assist with fire investigations and enforcement activities.
* Catalyze district-wide bushfire committees and participate in forums and working groups.
