We care for our people and develop innovative solutions for emerging technologies, planning future network improvements to leverage technological advancements.LET'S EXPLORE THE ROLEThis role focuses on supporting and maintaining the NSW Public Safety Network (PSN). It involves providing technical leadership to the NOCC and field teams, resolving issues proactively, managing incidents, and offering guidance to the Telco Authority.Key Responsibilities:Resolve incidents and problems requiring level 2 supportManage configuration and software changes for the P25 network and site equipment, including peer reviewsSupport escalation to level 3 support as neededPerform level 2 support and maintenance during on-site Non-Intrusive and Intrusive PMIsPropose solutions for issues beyond scope to the Telco AuthorityInteract with clients to resolve issues and complete support activitiesProvide training and guidance to BAICC, Service Integrity, and maintenance teamsWork with NOCC Manager and support customer and network issue resolution within agreed timelinesEscalate systemic operational or customer issues for further supportMonitor system performance and escalate capacity or other issuesGenerate ad hoc reports during emergenciesInvestigate complex faults, root causes, and fixes or workaroundsGuide subcontractors during fault restorationAssist in developing work estimates and external bidsParticipate in on-call support for PSN NOCC on a roster basisLET'S HEAR ABOUT YOUUnderstanding of P25 or equivalent RF systemsIntermediate knowledge of Motorola applications and radio equipment (or similar)Knowledge of DC power systems and batteriesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent customer service and communication skillsEffective presentation, consultation, and liaison skillsGood planning, prioritization, and organizational skillsEngineering qualification or relevant experience and technical expertiseAustralian Citizenship required for security clearanceBENEFITS & CULTUREAt BAI, we value diversity and inclusion, welcoming applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally diverse backgrounds, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ community members.Our principles include One BAI Team, Customer First, Adapt and Learn, and Drive Sustainable Growth.
