Role Scope
The Electrical Commissioning and Start‐Up Technician is responsible for delivering a high‐quality, consistent, and competent service in accordance with project/company requirements, standards, and procedures to support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. The role is under general supervision and involves a variety of commissioning, troubleshooting and repair tasks.
Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with site hazardous material safety rules and all safety aspects in execution of work.
* Ensure procedures and permits are followed safely.
* Commission, troubleshoot and repair MCCs, VSDs, distribution panels, motors, lighting and small power systems.
* Inspect, test, adjust and commission equipment to satisfy appropriate governing standards.
* Work within OEM guidelines.
* Demonstrate high‐quality fault‐finding skills and troubleshoot autonomously.
* Observe and supervise vendor staff working on or near the facilities as required.
* Carry out cause and effect testing.
* Attend system walk‐downs.
* Complete rectification works as required.
* Close out punch items.
* Liaise with other discipline teams to undertake commissioning and start‐up activities safely.
About You
* Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar role.
* Cert III in Electrical Craft and proven expertise.
* EEHA Certification.
* Current First Aid Certificate and LV rescue qualification.
* Nationally accredited training in working at heights (desired).
* Current Full or Restricted Queensland Electrical Licence.
