Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Adelaide, SA, for a dedicated Sous Chef. The Sous Chef will work alongside the Garcon Bleu Outlet's Chef de Cuisine to manage the kitchen, ensuring high-quality preparation and presentation of dishes. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, assisting with menu planning, and overseeing inventory and food costs. The role entails developing culinary skills, inspiring the team, and contributing to dining experiences that align with the luxury and excellence of Sofitel Adelaide.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in culinary arts, including cooking techniques, food preparation, and menu development.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities, as well as the capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of kitchen safety, hygiene standards, and food quality assurance practices.
* Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and the ability to handle pressure during busy service periods.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to foster a positive, professional working environment.
* Formal culinary training or certification; relevant hospitality certifications are a bonus.
* Previous experience in a fine-dining establishment or luxury hospitality is highly advantageous.
