We are seeking a talented and dynamic Senior Geologist - Growth to join our team at our Kalgoorlie Operations on a Residential, 5/2, 4/3 roster, working 10-hours per day with focus on leading and coordinating our Growth Geology Team.
You will be responsible for mentoring and supervision of Graduates to Project Geologists, project planning, geological reporting, budget tracking and drill execution. Are you ready to dig-deeper?
Here's what awaits you:
* Review and approve mine design plans, Opex, Capex and drill programs
* Manage and drive continues improvement projects as required by Geology Management
* Drill data collection and validity, interpretation updates, QAQC, determining mineralisation controls and modelling the geology to develop mineral resources
* Liaise with other departments as required regarding mine planning and operations, and metallurgy to assist with optimal mill performance.
* Build and manage team as required including mentoring the less experienced staff, emphasising safety, high technical standards, and continuous improvement
Qualifications: Tertiary qualification (minimum degree level) in geology, current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Manual Drivers Licence.
Experience: Extensive experience as a geologist in the resource industry, preferably in gold mining, experience with geology software packages, strong knowledge and experience in sampling, Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC), geological modelling, grade estimation techniques, and reconciliation, leadership experience, Contractor Management (analytical assay and drilling), excellent report writing and presentation skills.
