A rare opportunity exists at Frederick Irwin Anglican School in Mandurah for a highly organised, enthusiastic, relationship focused professional for the role of School Operations Coordinator - Secondary. This is a critical role in supporting the smooth operations of the Secondary School in a multi-campus, co-educational K-12 School. You will have excellent communication skills, be customer service focused, collaborative, able to use initiative and work unsupervised. Reporting to the Head of Secondary and working with the Deputy Principal, and Deputy Heads of School you will collaborate to ensure the smooth running of the operations of the school.

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Secondary School Operations Coordinator to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our Secondary School. This role combines operational oversight with classroom relief teaching (0.5 FTE) and requires a strong ability to manage processes, support staff, and uphold compliance standards.
The ideal candidate will be collaborative, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement. Strong communication, organisational skills, and a customer-focused approach are essential, along with a supportive attitude toward the Anglican ethos of our school.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate daily staff relief for Secondary Teachers.
* Manage relief timesheets, leave approvals, and provide classroom teaching (0.5 FTE).
* Support examination and camp relief requirements.
* Administer Basic Work Patterns (BWPs) and liaise with payroll and the Head of Secondary.
* Oversee annual review and coordination of student diaries and booklists for Secondary students.
* Organise and manage annual school photo days, and key Secondary School events (e.g., Founders' Day, House Days).
* Maintain and update the co-curricular register and ensure accurate communication with leadership.
* Review and update staff and parent handbooks for clarity and policy alignment.
* Act as school contact for OLNA and NAPLAN, coordinating testing with relevant teams.
* Manage ACARA data collection and immunisation scheduling.
* Liaise with the enrolments team and the Transition Coordinator for the onboarding of new Secondary students, ensuring systems (SEQTA Engage) and medical requirements are in place.
* Support compliance with policies, procedures, and WHS standards.
* Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Secondary or Deputy Principal.
Working conditions
Ability to work from 6.30am – 2.30pm Monday – Friday.
* School phone is provided and flexibility to work from home from 6.30am – 10.00am.
