Field Service Technician | Respiratory & Gas

Reporting into the Service Leader - WA for our Safety division, the new Field Service Technician will be based in the Perth region, traveling to customer sites, and working from our Balcatta workshop as required. There is a requirement to be away from home (2+ weeks average per month) on regular service runs for regional customer sites throughout Western Australia (WA). You will play a key role in servicing our diverse customers and devices with a focus upon safety solutions by using your strong technical skills, computer competency, and ability to learn and adapt to our ever-evolving products.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Maintain, repair, and test Draeger safety products (respiratory protection, gas detection, and more)
* Produce work conducted reports for customers
* Prepare detailed quotations for customers
* Maintain accurate service records via the CRM
* Provide high quality service and support to our customers
* Onsite customer user and maintenance training
* Travel regularly to regional client sites in wider WA, occasionally interstate as required
* Apply a compliance focused mindset across all operations
The ideal candidate will be equipped with the following attributes:
* 2+ years' post-trade experience in a similar technical field service role
* Willingness to travel regularly to regional customer sites, and ad-hoc interstate
* Capacity to effectively service a range of technical safety products
* Exposure to delivering product training for a variety of users
* Experience with technical documentation and diagrams, comprehending technical problems presented by customers, and providing effective solutions
* Well versed in effectively articulating company and product information to customers
* Working knowledge of routine arithmetic calculations and pricing structures to complete quotations
* Proficient in various computer software, including Microsoft Office suite of applications
* Adaptability and readiness to handle multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Exemplary understanding of compliance rules and ability to act as a role model in upholding and promoting compliance standards
* Strong customer focus, problem solving, communication, organisational, and task management skills
* Current Drivers License
A Police Check will be required for this position.
