A vacancy exists for an experienced HR Advisor to join our Head Office based in Southport.The successful candidate must have 3-4 years of HR experience to be considered for this role.The position is full time, Monday - Friday, 8.00am to 4.06pm.ResponsibilitiesAs HR Advisor, you will provide hands-on HR support and guidance across our organisation.
You will be the third member of the HR team and provide coverage for the HR Manager when on leave.Contributing to a variety of HR projects that strengthen workforce capability.Providing HR advice, coaching and support to Case Managers and Senior Management.Support Head Office Recruitment (interviews, employment contracts, new starter paperwork and compliance) and provide assistance with recruitment & onboarding of Support Workers and Community Nurses when required.Establish what our training and development offering is and make it happen.Contribute to workforce wellbeing and engagement initiatives.Contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.Ensuring scheduled supervisions, probation reviews and performance reviews are completed in a timely manner.Managing Head Office leave and coordinating the on-call roster.Participation in the on-call roster once every 8 weeks.Requirements/QualificationsWe're seeking someone who is a proactive self-starter, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Skilled in practical HR knowledge with a solid understanding of HR processes and compliance.Experienced in award interpretation, particularly the SCHADS and Nurses Award.Demonstrates intermediate skills in SCHADS and Nurses Award interpretation.Confident in building relationships, offering guidance, and influencing positive outcomes with managers and staff.Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.A degree in Human Resources or related field.2-5 years experience in the HR field, ideally in a HR generalist role.Happy doing a mix of HR tasks and duties and not afraid to pitch in and help!
You will need to be available every 8-12 weeks to participate in our on-call roster.
When you participate in the weekend on-call roster you will be paid an additional amount.

Weekend on-call is compensated; weekday on-call is an additional amount.
The on-call schedule and pay are described during the recruitment process.Don't worry, you don't go on the On Call roster until you are fully settled into your role and are deemed confident!
