Salary Sacrifice
As a not-for-profit entity, our employees can package up to $18,549 p.a. of their taxable income before your income tax is calculated. Up to $15,900 p.a. on everyday expenses (such as mortgage payments, rent, groceries, bills and insurance) plus up to $2,649 p.a. on meal/entertainment benefits.

Sign-on and Retention Bonus
Churches of Christ offers options to provide rental and relocation assistance in remote and rural locations. Additionally, we are offering a generous Sign-on and Retention Cash bonus of up to $14,000.
Potential Cash Bonuses
$2,000 on sign-on – paid after the third fortnight;
$3,000 after 6 months;
$4,000 after 12 months;
$5,000 after 24 months.
For part-time employees, this amount will be paid on a pro-rata basis based on the ordinary hours of work during the period.
About The Role
Located in the tropical town of Ingham, surrounded by World Heritage-listed rainforests and some of Australia's most beautiful natural wonders, Palms Aged Care is a 50-bed service.
We are seeking part-time Registered Nurses to work various shifts. Working closely with the Service Manager and Allied Health professionals, you will engage with residents to assess their care needs. Flexibility in shifts is required, and your focus will be recognizing resident needs and assisting with services that enrich their daily living. You will also guide nursing and care staff to ensure individual care plan requirements are met. Your care will have a lasting positive impact on residents and their families.
Daily Responsibilities
Conduct baseline and focus assessments of clients' needs and record findings within a Positive Wellbeing Model;
Develop and review care plans based on assessments, ensuring strategies are evidence-based;
Evaluate care strategies' effectiveness in consultation with residents, their representatives, and the care team;
Maintain client documentation in accordance with electronic systems and legislative requirements;
Collaborate with internal/external service providers.
About You
You are a dedicated clinician with effective communication skills, capable of achieving best nursing practices. You value providing quality care and creating a genuine impact. Leadership skills and the ability to guide personal care workers are essential.
Qualifications and Experience
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse;
Experience in residential aged care preferred;
Problem-solving skills using best practice methods;
Excellent written and verbal communication;
Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards;
Current National Police and NDIS Screening Check or ability to obtain;
CPR certification or willingness to update.
