**Our Opportunity**
The Attorney-General's Department is seeking the services of an enthusiastic ICT Governance and Assurance officer to work in the Chief Technology Office (CTO). CTO acts as the steward of the present and future technical direction of the department and provides assurance over technology adoption and change processes. This position will be a key member of the Governance and Assurance Team (GAT), which is within the CTO. The GAT assists colleagues in the Information Division (ID) and the broader organisation in the adoption of new technologies, technical change management, and the management of the framework that supports the delivery of projects.
The ICT Governance and Assurance officer is an integral member of the GAT team and is responsible for the efficient and effective oversight and certification of ICT software assets, the provision of trusted and informed advice to colleagues, and the monitoring, review and maturing of the governance process so as to ensure these continues to meeting the organisation's needs.
The ICT Governance and Assurance officer will:
- Have excellent people skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders and communicate at all levels of the business;
- Work closely with business representatives and ID staff to ensure the efficient and effective procurement, implementation and governance of the department's technology solutions;
- Participate in efforts to improve ID's technology governance processes and suggest changes where potential efficiencies are found;
- Assist the Governance and Assurance Team Leader in managing ICT change and delivery governance processes;
- Provide advice, monitoring and assessment of compliance with software assets and certification processes; and
- Manage and monitor these processes to ensure their continued efficient and effective delivery and make recommendations to improving customer experience.
**Who are we looking for?**
The successful applicant is expected to participate as part of the core CTO team and will proactively engage with the current and future challenges of the CTO space. The role involves working with Information Division and broader AGD colleagues to ensure quality solutions are implemented.

Relevant certifications or tertiary qualifications in a field related to ICT would be highly regarded but are not considered mandatory.
