About the Role
This position oversees the management of theatre operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the establishment and launch of the venue, coordinating project planning, budget tracking, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
* Develop operational workflows, service standards, staffing structures, and resource plans in preparation for venue opening.
* Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met prior to launch.
* Oversee daily operations of all theatre functions, including box office, programming, and customer service.
* Coordinate and monitor service delivery across multiple business units and liaise with building management, service quality, efficiency, and business performance metrics.
* Implement business continuity plans and emergency procedures in alignment with organisational policies.
* Manage revenue and financial operations, including contracting, invoicing, and insurance coverage.
* Establish and monitor food, beverage, and bar operations, ensuring high standards of presentation and functionality.
* Liaise with internal teams to manage programme scheduling, technical requirements, and logistics.
* Lead negotiations and relationship management with external hirers, touring producers, and community clients.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, safety, presentation, and functionality throughout the venue at all times.
* Ensure signage, amenities, and wayfinding are accessible and aligned with brand standards.
* Oversee front-of-house operations and ushering services to ensure high standards are maintained.
* Monitor customer relations and feedback, responding to escalated complaints and initiating service improvements.
