Role Overview
In this new position, the Regional Marketing Director, Business Activation aligns, coaches, and influences regional and local marketing teams by driving successful global strategic launches of major new innovative products. You will aim at providing and capturing the most value of launches at customer level through optimized market deployment. You will be responsible for regional and key market alignment in support of priority business drivers, the regional roadmap implementation, and oversight of market demand planning. The Regional Director, Business Activation will represent Global Companion Animal Marketing in its entirety to the Regional VP and the Regional Leadership Team. This includes representation and coordination with Franchise campaigns, Customer Marketing, Commercial and Digital Experience efforts, among others. You will report directly to the Executive Director, Global Customer Marketing & Business Activation.
What Will You Do
* Develop regional and key market alignment in support of priority business drivers, lead localized strategy regional roadmap process encompassing all marketing and sales enablement.
* Lead and activate a regional network of BUDs to ensure engagement, alignment, and execution of needed actions to achieve the regional objectives.
* Organize necessary follow‐up and task force with the regional and global teams to ensure successful delivery of the aligned objectives for the year.
* Work with the Digital enablement department and the regional and local marketing teams to develop customer journeys and omnichannel operational strategy to reach identified targets.
* Provide a broad set of adapted marketing assets to support local key launches.
* Partner with regions and local marketers to execute marketing content to differentiate our brands.
* Communicate, collaborate, and align actions with key stakeholders within regional commercial organizations including GMs/Business Unit Directors on core marketing launch strategies and address local launch and post‐launch needs.
* Provide marketing team leadership to ensure successful implementation to support product launches throughout the world.
* Collaborate closely with customer marketing, commercial, digital, and sales enablement and provide impactful launch materials to be implemented within markets.
* Understand how the platforms and products are performing and drive iterative change as necessary to drive measurable results.
* Orchestrate business steering process to track implementation of key launches.
* Collaborate with markets and regional management for new product demand requirements.
* Coordinate with supply chain to ensure alignment and prioritization of material availability to support market launches.
* Contribute to global annual marketing communications plans and budget planning cycle.
* Collaborate and partner with regions, markets, and customers to gain insights.
* Share learnings with the Global, local teams, and internal partners.
* Understand and use key sources of information.
* Support the development of marketing capabilities within market organizations.
What Should You Have
* Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, sales management, biology, animal science, or a relevant area from an accredited university.
* Master's degree, MBA or advanced degree in marketing, sales management, communications, animal science, or veterinary medicine is preferred.
* 10‐15 years of broad work experience in marketing (communications, brand, product, channel, operational) and related sales support activities.
* Strong life science, veterinary medicine, animal science, medical marketing and business experience is highly preferred.
* Business Unit Director or Country Management leadership experience preferred.
* Successful track‐record in creating and implementing the best performing campaigns and tactical communication initiatives targeting medical professionals and consumers.
* Proven marketing experience of successful product launches with measurable results and a set of clear metrics.
* Demonstrated management of A&P budgets.
Skills
* Digital marketing acumen and experience especially in lead generation and conversion.
* Excellent ability to manage workflow with regional and local markets.
* Familiarity with the animal health industry or a related industry, marketing, and commercial operations.
* Managing and executing product and launch communication plans.
* Monitoring performance metrics including revenue, pricing, forecasting, sales cycle, markets, and sales opportunity targets.
* People skills that will help in developing and building strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders to collaborate and drive results for the business unit.
* Ability to challenge and drive the organization toward the success of a project.
* Ability to work in a matrix organization and work with people across multiple time zones, functions, and locations.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
* Fluency in English is required; multilingual in leading languages of the region is highly preferred.
