About the Role:
The Quality Engineering Specialist will lead the definition and implementation of end-to-end test and automation strategies. An insurance background is mandatory. This role involves creating automation scripts, providing tool recommendations, and offering implementation guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Remain current with the superannuation domain and be hands-on with testing superannuation products.
* Experience in building test automation frameworks using Playwright or UI Path.
* Define automation approaches and best practices, and set up tools across technologies and platforms.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders and project managers to identify automation opportunities and conduct feasibility assessments.
* Maintain current test automation-related experience, with proven success in diverse tools and contexts.
* Demonstrated experience with:
* UI, API, database, mobile web automation
* UI automation and functional testing
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:
* Experience building CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)
* Strong understanding of application architectures
* Experience using TDD or BDD methodologies
* Experience in application development
* Familiarity with continuous integration practices, including:
* Build, deploy, and version control tools
Technical Testing Duties
* Create automation test plans
* Perform peer reviews of code and provide approvals
* Create, enhance, debug, and execute test cases
* Collate and monitor defects and manage the defect lifecycle
* Manage change and execute regression testing
* Develop solutions to issues such as object identification and error handling
* Interact with clients to resolve issues and provide effective solutions

* Citizenship: Due to the secure nature of this role, Australian Citizenship is required. This ensures eligibility to handle sensitive information and uphold high security standards.
* On-call and Shift Expectations:
* This role is part of a managed services environment. Candidates must be flexible to:
* Work in rotating shifts
* Be available for on-call support
* Perform after-hours deployment activities
* Reliability in managing these expectations is critical to maintaining smooth client operations and satisfaction
