Full-Time or Part-Time Medical Receptionist – Weston Medical Practice

Location: Weston, ACT

Hours: Full-time (38 hours per week), Part-Time (20 to 30 hours per week) – Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am–6:00 pm, and Saturdays 9:00 am–1:00 pm

Experience: Minimum 1 years as a medical receptionist

About Us

Our long-established medical practice in Weston has been proudly serving the community for over 40 years. We are a friendly, professional team consisting of 5 General Practitioners, a Practice Nurse, 2 Geriatricians, a Dietitian and Diabetes Educator. Together, we provide comprehensive patient care in a welcoming and supportive environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our reception team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

* Answer and manage incoming phone calls and patient enquiries
* Book and manage patient appointments
* Process billings for services provided
* Manage emails, correspondence, and faxes
* Provide administrative support to General Practitioners and clinical staff
* Perform general administrative and reception duties
* Prepare and organise consulting rooms before and after sessions as required

About You

The successful candidate will be well organised, reliable, and passionate about delivering excellent patient care. You will have strong administration skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Minimum 1 years' experience as a medical receptionist
* High attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent time management, punctuality, and reliability
* Professional, well-presented, and trustworthy
