Workfast is currently looking for experienced HV A-Grade Electricians to join a major solar farm project around Albury, NSW.
The solar farm is 15 -20 mins north of Albury. This role is suitable for someone who lives in the town or is willing to relocate.

What You Need
* Current NSW A-Grade Electrical Licence (Unrestricted)
* Electrical Trade Qualification
* Valid Driver's Licence and willingness to travel
* Construction White Card
* Current First Aid (CPR) & Low Voltage (LV) Rescue
* HV Switching competency
* Australian Work Rights
* Experience in renewable energy, plant or heavy electrical equipment
* Ability to read, interpret and understand plans, drawings and specifications
* Strong understanding of Australian Standards and industry best practice
* Experience with data communications (SCADA, dataloggers, routers)
* Strong computer literacy
* High commitment to WHS and safety as a core value
What You Will Be Doing
* Operating and maintaining Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment, including transformers, switchgear, cables and substations
* Monitoring and maintaining solar farm and inverter systems
* Operating and maintaining backup power systems (generators and UPS)
* Responding to alarms and executing fault repairs
* Working alongside Engineering teams on SCADA monitoring
* Managing and coordinating subcontractors on site, including inductions and pre-starts
* Planning and scheduling annual maintenance through CMMS systems
* Completing WHS reporting and adhering to policies and Emergency Response Plans
* Completing accurate documentation of works performed
* Attending to preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and project works
* Working in conjunction with a 24/7 Control Room, Asset Managers, Site Technicians and Greenskeepers
* On-call work opportunity
