- Full Time position, working a 7-day rotating roster across morning & afternoon shifts
**About the role**
We are seeking experienced cleaners, for a Full Time position, based at the Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre (YHIDC) in Northam WA. You will ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness of all facilities is maintained and contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the site by providing a high level of cleaning support. You will effectively manage time to ensure all cleaning duties are completed within required deadlines. Use all equipment in accordance with procedures and instructions and maintain in a clean condition, reporting faults or damage of equipment to the supervisor. The role involves manual handling and lifting, and you will be required to work both inside and in the outdoor areas. You will need to be available to be rostered across all days of the week including public holidays, covering both morning and afternoon shifts between the hours of 5.30am - 9.36pm. This roster gives you every second weekend free.
**About you**
You will have previous experience working as a professional cleaner in a culturally diverse setting and have demonstrated ability in the use of the equipment and chemicals involved with this role. You have ability to work in a team and develop working relationships with operational and Australia Border Force (ABF) employees. You ensure service delivery is of a high standard and that all contractual obligations are met and aim to continually improve processes where possible. You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do.
- To be successful in this role you will have;_
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
- Experience in professional cleaning environments preferred
- Training in the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment (desirable)
- Certificate in Asset Maintenance - Cleaning Operations (desirable)
- Ability to maintain WHS standards in the workplace
- Report daily to the Cleaning Supervisor of any issues that may relate to cleaning failures and building faults
- Current Full Drivers Licence
- The ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance
