The Role
We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer with strong Java-based automation experience to join a high-performing delivery team in Melbourne.
This is a hands‑on automation role working across UI, API, database, and desktop testing frameworks within a modern enterprise environment.
You will contribute to the design, development, and support of scalable automation frameworks while working closely with developers, testers, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and maintain Java-based automation frameworks
* UI testing
* API testing
* Database validation
* Build and execute automated regression suites
* Work across modern automation tooling and frameworks
* Support continuous improvement of testing frameworks and quality practices
* Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams across Agile environments
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
* Playwright and Selenium experience
* REST Assured for API automation
* Oracle database connectivity experience
* JDBC connectivity experience
Framework & Engineering Principles
* Strong understanding of:
* POM (Page Object Model)
* TDD (Test-Driven Development)
Additional Experience
* Experience working within enterprise automation frameworks
* Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills
