Shift Engineer (Civil Engineer) – Tunnelling Project
Our client is a leading specialist in major infrastructure, currently delivering high complexity tunnelling solutions for a landmark project in Coffs Harbour. Known for their technical excellence and commitment to safety, they provide innovative underground engineering and construction services that are critical to Australia's regional connectivity.
Kogan People Solutions is proud to be assisting our client in this critical recruitment effort. We are looking for a dedicated Shift Engineer to join the project team on a full-time, ongoing basis to ensure the successful delivery of this significant infrastructure work.
Location: Coffs Harbour, NSW
Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 per annum + Superannuation
Work Type: Full-Time, Ongoing
Key Role and Responsibilities
* Compliance & Safety: Maintain site safety, quality, and environmental compliance as per the IMS. Promote the implementation of relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
* Documentation: Prepare Work Procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Construction Procedures, and Site Access Plans.
* Project Tracking: Collate project records and input data for accurate daily cost and productivity tracking.
* Technical Support: Attend to technical matters on-site by developing solutions to problems using engineering concepts, practices, and techniques.
* Site Management: Ensure daily works are undertaken in accordance with all permits, approvals, design drawings, and specifications.
* Planning: Support the Project Engineer in planning, execution, and handover. Assist in developing construction programs and provide input into look-ahead planning.
* Procurement: Assist in the procurement of project materials and the letting of subcontracts.
* Coordination: Maintain close communication with subcontractors, supervisors, and surveyors to ensure effective teamwork and a positive site culture.
Requirements
* Education: A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline along with 1 years' experience .
* Technical Skills: Ability to interpret complex design drawings and identify engineering controls to reduce risk.
* Communication: Strong reporting skills, including the preparation of frequent site reports for Senior Management, as well as frequent interactions with external stakeholders.
* Integrity: A commitment to internal audits and maintaining project-related registers.
