About the Virtual Hospital Education Program (VHEP)

The program focuses on supporting students with continuity of learning and a successful transition back to school. Students engage in online learning via individual lessons delivered through Microsoft Teams.

* Recently discharged students from Queensland hospitals unable to attend their base school
* Inpatients of Queensland hospitals without onsite teachers

You will lead instructional activities, strategic resource use, and promote a positive learning environment. Responsibilities include:

* Instructional leadership, shared expectations, and resource management
* Strategic planning with the VHEP leadership team
* Professional development for the expanding teaching team
* High-quality advice to school staff on student accommodations
* Case management practices for student transitions
* Liaison with guidance officers and regional staff
* Student allocation and progress monitoring

This role requires working in hospital settings with additional workplace requirements from Queensland Health. Vaccination against preventable diseases is mandatory.
