St Joseph's College, Lochinvar is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our team in a part-time capacity (0.2 FTE) for the 2026 school year. The College serves approximately 940 students from Years 7 to 12 and is committed to a learning environment where students, staff, and families are valued and respected for their individuality.
Responsibilities
* Deliver and assess Mathematics curriculum for secondary students in alignment with school and NSW/ACT standards.
* Differentiate learning to meet diverse student needs and abilities; develop effective assessment practices and quality teaching programs.
* Promote the school as a place of learning and excellence consistent with contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles (including digital learning).
* Work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and contribute to a faith-filled educational experience within a Catholic context.
Qualifications
* Four-year trained teacher qualifications.
* Active NSW/ACT teaching accreditation (e.g., NESA).
* Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) number and evidence of current bookings.
* Completion of anaphylaxis and CPR training.
Experience / Criteria
* Ability to articulate a clear understanding of Catholic Education and actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school.
* Ability to plan and prepare contemporary and compliant teaching programs and assessments addressing diverse learning styles.
* Experience using assessment data to optimise outcomes; ability to collaborate with staff and the wider community.
* Innovative and agile mindset supporting continuous improvement within the school environment.
Conditions of Employment
Salary is in accordance with the NSW/ACT Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
