KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
We are looking for a full‑time skilled Stonemason & Installer with 2+ years of experience working on commercial and retail projects to join our team. In your role as Stonemason & Installer, your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following;
* Carefully measure, cut, shape, and polish stone materials to precise specifications
* Install stone benchtops and vanity tops and other fixtures in client properties
* Manage your work week between different sites, installations and delivery work
* Collaborate with the design team to ensure the final product meets client requirements
* Be able to works in accordance with the construction documentation, Australian Standards, National Codes, the construction programme
* Working closely with architect and clients to ensure the fine details throughout the build are beyond and above expectation
* Maximise site production and ensuring schedules are adhered to by managing sub‑contractor's trade availability
* Upholding accountability and direction with external stakeholders
* Arrange and attend regular site meetings with owners and contract administrators
* Management of subcontractors and suppliers on site, induction of all personnel and plant/machinery on site, ensuring safety of workers on site and signing off on Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
* Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality, and environment compliance on site.
• Maintain tools and equipment to a high standard
* Must agree to comply with safety policies and procedures of company & Work Safe Guidelines.
* Work collaboratively with other tradespeople as part of the project team
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Trade Qualification in Stonemasonry
* Construction White Card
* Demonstrated experience in a similar environment
* Able to work autonomously and as part of a team to plan and execute manufacturing and installation activities
* Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to operate power tools and machinery safely and effectively
* Physically fit and be able to pass a medical and drug & alcohol screening
* Good communication skills
• Must be proactive in forecasting schedules
* Templates/Site Measuring is also a key skill & will help company to grow (Desired but not compulsory)
