Based at the Reef Fleet Terminal, right in the heart of Cairns' reef action, you'll be part of the team that introduces thousands of guests to the Great Barrier Reef every year. From snorkelling and semi-subs, to scenic heli flights — we do it all, and we love showing off this incredible natural wonder.
What you'll be doing
* Leading, mentoring and motivating our reservations team
* Supervising, rostering and training staff to deliver amazing service
* Overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth communication between Reservations, Operations, Sales and Accounts
* Approving invoices, managing banking, and supporting reporting needs across departments
* Working with Sales to keep the team up-to-date on current promotions and campaigns
* Handling group bookings and assisting with customer complaints in collaboration with the COO and Duty Managers
* Keeping an eye on all things reservations and revenue across distribution channels
You'll shine in this role if you have:
* At least 2+ years of experience in a reservations or supervisory role within the tourism or hospitality industry. This is the chance to prove yourself and progress to the next level
* Strong knowledge of reservations systems and processes — from loading rates and new agents to reporting and invoicing
* Experience with Respax (big bonus points) and solid Microsoft Office skills
* A calm head under pressure, with the ability to prioritise, delegate and problem-solve
* A natural flair for customer service and building great relationships
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal
