FTP is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Wireless Network Engineer to join our Professional Services team in Brisbane.
Our Professional Services Team provides innovative, effective, and efficient Wireless network design and engineering solutions
As a Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in contributing to various projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders by assisting with Wireless network design, planning, and development for the Mining and Resources sector.
The successful candidate will be working closely with a Tier 1 Mining Company to assist with the design and execution of the Wireless Network for an Autonomous Mining Solution.
Key Responsibilities
As part of our Professional Services Team, your duties will include, but not be limited to:
* Design and implementation of high availability wired and wireless network solutions, as well as auditing and remediation of existing networks,
* Developing high/low-level designs and work packages across multiple technologies,
* Installation, testing and configuration of network solutions,
* Stakeholder engagement and consultation,
* In collaboration with the Project Manager, ensure solutions are being delivered in line with scheduling milestones,
* Providing mentorship to other team members.
* Travel to site as per project requirements (Central QLD)
Skills and Qualifications
Mandatory
* Tertiary qualification in electrical/electronic engineering, communications systems engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering end-to-end wireless network solutions,
* Mining - Wireless OT Network experience
* Experience with Cisco, Cambium and Rajant Wireless Hardware
* Familiarity with IP Networks (Routing, Switching and Firewalls)
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively to implement and maintain standards across all areas.
* Working Rights within Australia
Desirable
* LTE experience,
* CCNA Certification
