In accordance with conventional practices, methods and standards, the Phlebotomy Technician provides phlebotomy and specimen collection services to inpatient and outpatient clients.

The Team

Northern Tasmanian Pathology Service (NTPS) provides Pathology services to Launceston General Hospital and the Northern regions of Tasmania. We are the only public pathology service operating in North Tasmania. NTPS aims to deliver a high-quality service to general practitioners, medical specialists and private hospitals, providing patients with no out of pocket expenses for Medicare eligible tests. The team at NTPS comprises a large team involving multi‐disciplinary scientists, technicians, non‐technical staff and Pathologists.

The Role

* To be part of the collection team and assist with outpatient, ward collections and home collections

You will need

* Prior experience in venepuncture techniques will be an advantage
* Experience in working as part of a team

Details of appointment

* Multiple fixed‐term, full‐time, shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as you can join us until 30 June 2026.

Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

$73,811 to $86,248 per annum (pro rata). Our employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
