An opportunity for a Site Engineer – Services Infrastructure to build experience on a major Defence program at Blamey Barracks, Kapooka, supporting the delivery of HV, water, fire and sewer infrastructure packages.
Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV) is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.
Key project elements include the construction of new messing and living accommodation, new training facilities, refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings, and remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services as part of a $2 billion capital investment across three Department of Defence establishments.
Responsibilities
* Support the Project Engineer with the delivery of services infrastructure works including HV electrical, potable water, fire water and sewer mains.
* Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely on program and to specification.
* Assist with resolving design and constructability issues on site.
* Support quality control activities, inspections and documentation.
* Assist with commissioning and handover activities for completed services packages.
Qualifications
* Degree qualification in Services Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic or Building Services) or Civil Engineering.
* Exposure to services infrastructure installations in a site or graduate engineering role.
* Understanding of subcontractor coordination and site-quality processes.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary project team.
* Experience on construction or infrastructure projects (Defence experience advantageous but not essential).
