Pharmacy Trainee Support
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our pharmacy team as a Trainee Rotational Pharmacy Support Worker.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in pharmacy practice while working towards a career in healthcare.
You will be responsible for dispensing, picking and issuing medicines, checking stock and ward medicines management processes including supporting a ward top up service and the assessment, however, processing and appropriate reuse of medicines returns.
The role includes providing excellent patient care, working effectively with colleagues, and adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
You will have the opportunity to gain experience in various aspects of pharmacy practice, including medication management, inventory control, and patient counseling.
To succeed in this role, you must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate a commitment to achieving the training framework.
The training framework includes NHS Scotland Healthcare Support Worker induction standards, GPhC approved pharmacy support worker course (eLearning), Local PSW competency training and assessment, and Read, understand and follow standard operating procedures.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
The successful candidate will be employed on a 37-hour per week contract, with opportunities for extended hours, public holidays, and weekend working rotas.
