Electrical Equipment Specialist Role
The Electrical Equipment Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues and acting as the subject matter expert on designated shifts for electrical, automation, and specialist analytics areas of the facility.
* Maintain site equipment and machinery by ensuring safety, quality, and manufacturing standards are met.
* Operate high-speed machinery efficiently.
* Dismantle, assess, repair, and reassemble machines, equipment, and components in a timely manner.
* Respond to machine breakdowns and take corrective action promptly to minimize downtime.
* Carry out modifications to machines and equipment under instructions from the Engineering Manager and Electrical Supervisor.
* Assist in training and knowledge transfer to new starters and existing team members to enhance overall performance.
* Carry out root cause analysis as required to identify and resolve issues.
* Suggest areas for improvement and participate in improvement opportunities to optimize processes.
About You:
* Educated with an Electrical Trade Certificate (Advanced Certificate welcomed).
* Experience in manufacturing, high-speed, 24/7 production environments is essential.
* Maintenance experience including preventative maintenance plans and corrective maintenance systems is required.
* Good understanding of mechanical systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors, air systems is necessary.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, and environment is expected.
* Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their application is beneficial.
