Disengaged Youth Re-Engagement Specialist
This innovative initiative focuses on re-engaging young people aged 10-16 who have been involved in the youth justice system and are disengaged from mainstream schooling.
The Role
* Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed services that meet contractual and stakeholder expectations.
* BUILD strong relationships with local communities, services, and stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
* Manage operational requirements, including rostering, compliance, and reporting, to ensure seamless service delivery.
* CHAMPION the rights, voices, and wellbeing of young people in the program, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
About You
* Demonstrated experience working with young people in contact with the youth justice system, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, is highly valued.
* A proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams is essential for this role.
* A strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and relevant legislation is required.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative leadership style are crucial for success in this position.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in behavioural sciences, education, or related discipline are necessary.
