Occupational Health and Safety Specialist
This role requires an individual to promote the safe operation of a 7-12 co-educational secondary institution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure adherence to BCE work, health and safety risk registers.
* Provide support to staff in managing risks and compliance for excursions, incursions, supply, and hire agreements.
* Advise leadership on relevant changes in regulations, legislation policies, and procedures.
* Support staff in maintaining organisational compliance registers.
* Facilitate risk assessments with responsible staff members for school events and activities.
* Collaborate with school leadership to review and refine current school processes, practices, and procedures.
* Act as Chair of the College Workplace Health and Safety Committee.
* Address WHS concerns with staff and leadership.
* Develop and implement WHS strategies to minimize risks.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections.
Requirements:
* Knowledge and experience in occupational health and safety.
* WHS qualification – Cert 4.
* Knowledge and experience with Guardian (desirable).
* Experience in a similar role.
