About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. This includes providing defence‐ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on‐base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on‐site medical care.
About East Sale Clinic
RAAF Base East Sale is located 220 km south‐east of Melbourne, in Victoria's Gippsland region, supporting approximately 700 personnel. The base was first opened as a training base in 1943 and continues to play a major training role for the Airforce. In 1947 the Air Force Central Flying School was relocated to East Sale and the base is home to the famous Roulettes aerobatic display team. East Sale Clinic provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, dental, pharmaceutical, physiotherapy, and mental health services, along with a 2‐bed low‐dependency unit. Standard operating hours are generally 08:00–16:30 Monday–Thursday, and a half day Friday 08:00–13:00.
Role Details
This is a part‐time role – 2 days a week: Monday 08:00‐16:30 and Wednesday 08:00‐16:00.
Job Responsibilities and Expectations
Based at the East Sale Clinic, you will provide support and treatments to valuable Defence Force Personnel. You will be responsible for providing a range of evidence‐based physiotherapy assessments, treatments, and rehabilitative services to patients. These services will include direction on rehabilitation programs, splinting/plastering/fitting of orthoses or other devices, use of electrotherapy modalities or hydrotherapy pools where required, and provision of advice and recommendations to other health professionals.
Qualifications
* Highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum of 2 years full‐time postgraduate musculoskeletal experience within the last 5 years in an accredited physiotherapy environment (or part‐time equivalent).
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
* Membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (desirable).
Please Note
* You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
* You don't need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on‐base; your job remains here even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
