Seeking a Design Engineer/Senior to act as the Primary Engineering Representative. You will lead multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver consistent, value-for-money, accurate and timely technical information, and outputs. This contract role prioritises leadership presence, lean problem-solving, and challenging stakeholders to achieve optimal delivery and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary design teams to produce high-quality technical information and outputs.
- Create and execute a plan for effective design delivery; provide evidence of milestone achievement while balancing water quality, stakeholder relations, security, WHS, and other business needs.
- Ensure project expectations and milestones are clear to design teams, stakeholders, and Managers Engineering.
- Oversee deliverable quality by Engineering; verify review and verification processes align with Technical Standards.
- Measure and report extensions of time and cost variations, with clear rationale; ensure delivery deadlines and costs align with the approved Service Agreement Form.
Requirements
- Proven experience in engineering design, design review, and development and review of infrastructure standards.
- Solid analytical skills with demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate, and solve problems.
- Leadership presence: capable of inspiring and leading teams, driving high performance in a challenging environment and fostering engagement.
Desirable
- Experience working within or for water utility environments and familiarity with relevant standards.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and maintain effective stakeholder relations.

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
