**Clinical Nurse Educator Role Overview**
The Clinical Nurse Educator provides expert clinical guidance and education to healthcare staff, promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.
This pivotal role involves:
* Developing and delivering unit-based educational programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
* Fostering a preceptor/mentor relationship to support the development of new staff members.
* Evaluating and improving clinical procedures to ensure safe, evidence-based practice.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and relevant post-registration experience in the specialty.
* Holds relevant clinical or education post-registration qualifications, or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
* Demonstrated understanding and experience in various teaching methodologies, including planning, conducting, and evaluating unit-based education.
