About Children's Ground
Children’s Ground is a First Nations organisation committed to systems change to ensure dignity, justice, and equity for all children and families. The organisation focuses on national reform and demonstrates a new way of working, led by First Nations people.
The Children’s Ground Approach is a whole-of-community, whole-of-life approach that privileges First Nations knowledge systems and practices. Over a generation, led by local expertise, it creates an integrated system centered on learning, development, and wellbeing, responding to children and their families through key transition points from pre-birth to young adulthood.
Our approach recognises the cultural, social, and economic strengths of our communities. We aim to build on these strengths over generations to secure a future where our children and grandchildren have the freedom, opportunity, and rights to their culture and identity.
Children’s Ground operates in Central Australia and across the Top End, supported by a Melbourne-based Shared Services team.
