**The Role** 
A vacancy exists for an experienced Logistics Officer at Joint Logistics Unit (East) (JLU(E)) located in Moorebank NSW.
In the role, you will be accountable for:
- Inventory management and processing 
- Organising your workflow 
- Making decisions within defined parameters relating to your area of responsibility 
- Undertaking research and analysis activities 
- Work with contractors and military and other Commonwealth staff
You will also be required to communicate with, respond and provide advice to a range of stakeholders on operation and administrative issues to achieve work unit and defence outcomes.

Joint Logistics Unit (East) is one of Defence's largest warehousing units managing approximately 14 Million items. We are a fast paced, transformative logistics unit with a diverse workforce of military, public servants and contractors.

To be successful in this roll you will:
- Have experience in logistics and/or inventory management 
- Have a keen eye for detail 
- Perform data entry of spreadsheets and checklists for logistics activities 
- Be capable of working with a wide variety of customers and stakeholders, build and sustain effective relationships 
- Manage the priorities and needs of customers to meet and exceed their expectations 
- Be able to work in a fluid environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable 
- Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member 
- Have a good level of computer literacy, including with inventory management systems and processes 
- Be committed to ongoing self-improvement and professional development 
- Be able to interpret and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
