As we continue to grow across Australia, we're looking for a motivated Workplace Health and Safety Advisor to join our team.
This is a flexible hybrid role, preferably based in Victoria (Gippsland region ideal), however, applicants from Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane are encouraged to apply.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the General Counsel, you'll play a key role in supporting our fibre and wireless operations, with a focus on continuous improvement, risk management, and practical safety solutions.
More specifically, you will:
* Maintain and optimise WHS systems and processes (including Rapid Global)
* Review and update WHS policies, procedures, and risk registers
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
* Lead incident investigations and support injury management and return-to-work programs
* Deliver WHS training (including psychosocial risk awareness) and mentor Safety Champions
* Facilitate WHS committees and consultations
* Support emergency planning, drills, and contractor WHS assurance
* Provide expert advice and promote continuous improvement
* Be comfortable with occasional travel to support operations
About You
You're a confident communicator and problem-solver who thrives on collaboration and cares deeply about creating safe, healthy workplaces. You combine technical WHS knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach and the ability to influence at all levels.
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualification in WHS (or equivalent experience)
* Experience in a similar WHS advisory role (telecommunications, utilities, or construction preferred)
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and best practice
* Ability to conduct risk assessments and lead investigations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Able to work independently and drive outcomes
* A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
